Elwood B. Boone, Jr., MD
Elwood B. Boone, Jr., MD, completed Medical School at Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee in 1969. He then went on to complete a surgical residency at Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, Virginia from 1970-1972 and a urology residency, also at Medical College of Virginia, from 1972-1975.
An accomplished and published physician, he has been a Clinical Instructor in Surgery at Medical College of Virginia since 1975.
Dr. Boone holds memberships in several professional societies and organizations which include; Richmond Medical Society, Richmond Academy of Medicine, Medical Society of Virginia, American College of Surgeons and the American Association of Clinical Urologists.
Dr. Boone has been in private practice for thirty three years upon which time he joined HCA Physician Services in March 2008.
A well-rounded and highly experienced urologist, Dr. Boone's practice interests are in genitourinary oncology and male reproductive dysfunction. He is welcoming new patients at our Retreat Doctors' Hospital office.
William N. Castle, MD, FACS
William N. Castle, MD, FACS, is board certified in Urology by the American Board of Urology. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia in 1980. Completing both Internship and Residency at Dartmouth -Hitchcock Medical Center in 1982 and 1986 respectively, he then also accomplished a Research Fellowship in General Surgery in 1983. He also completed a Fellowship in 1988 with the American College of Surgeons. He is also widely published.
Dr. Castle is married with three children. He enjoys soccer and hockey. He is welcoming new patients at our Kilmarnock office.
Jeffrey Cheng Koon Lou, MD
Jeffrey Cheng Koon Lou, MD, graduated from the College of William and Mary with a BS. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completed his general surgery internship as well as his urologic residency at the Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Lou has presented papers at the national meetings of the American Urological Association (AUA) and also at the Mid-Atlantic section of the AUA. He has been published in several journals, the Canadian Journal of Urology among others.
He has been trained in the fields of laparoscopic kidney surgery, cryosurgery of the prostate and laser surgery of the prostate. Dr. Lou also has experience in surgery for male erectile dysfunction and female and male incontinence.
Dr. Lou is welcoming new patients at our Johnston-Willis office.
Eugene L. Park, MD
Dr. Park received his Bachelors of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology in three years at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Continuing his education at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, IL, Dr. Park entered the Honors Program in Medical Education. After receiving his medical degree, he finished two years of General Surgery training and four years of advanced training in Urology at the University of Arizona/ Arizona Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Park recently moved to Richmond from Tucson, AZ where he was in private practice. His minimally invasive techniques elevated the standard of care there. He is an expert in robotic prostatectomy, performing over 400 cases in just a few years. He is one of few surgeons around the world who perform robotic total cystectomy with urinary diversion. Additionally he performs some of the most advanced surgical techniques such as Single Incision Laparoscopic Nephrectomy, Robotic Pyeloplasty, Robotic Partial Nephrectomy and Robotic Adrenalectomy. His research, which focuses on minimally invasive surgery, has been presented around the world.
Urological Specialists is pleased to welcome Dr. Park in serving the greater Richmond community. Specializing in urologic oncology, incontinence, kidney stone disease and general urology, Dr. Park is board certified and is accepting new patients.
